One of the recently released Prepd educational tools is the Vocabulary feature available in the Library app.
You can easily define words from the articles you read, and they will be automatically added to your Vocabulary list.
To access the list, click on the fifth icon from the left-side navigation bar. You have two ways of using the Vocabulary:
List view - all your defined words will appear listed like in a regular dictionary, next to their main definition. By opening a word, you'll be able to see more details (other definitions, synonyms, antonyms, examples). You'll also be able to mark the word are mastered (or still studying) by clicking the small vocabulary icon next to it.
Flashcard view - allows you to test your knowledge of your defined words by using them as flashcards. The main face will have the word and, when you flip it over, you'll see its definition and will be able to mark it as mastered.
To help you quickly find and filter the words, there is a search field at the top (which filters our words as you type) and Filters in the upper navigation bar, from where you can sort them alphabetically, or filter them by other criteria.
Who can see the words I define?
When you define a word it will be added to the team vocabulary and be shared with all your team-mates.
What if I defined the same word as my team-mate?
Prepd will only store each word once. If you defined a word and it's not at the top of the list, try search for it as it is possible that someone on your team has already added it.
Who can see the words I master?
Only you can see which words you marked as mastered and which are still studying.
